Important Information about Calendars |
If you keep track of appointments or tasks in the GroupWise Calendar, you know how important to you this information is. All your calendar data can be transferred to the UVU system. |
| |
|
|
Risk of Data Loss |
The only time you risk data loss in transferring calendar items is if you accidentally delete or forget to transfer an item from your current calendar. The export/import process has proven easy and problem free.
Calendar data that has been transferred may not work exactly as it did in the UVSC system. Appointments that you sent or received in the UVSC system WILL lose their tracking information when transferred, which means you won't be able to decline or reschedule an appointment automatically. If an appointment time changes or is cancelled, you will need to let everyone involved know about that change.

Time Element |
Even the largest calendars can be exported and imported in seconds. |

Methods |
These are listed in the order we recommend them. There is a section below which discusses how to do each of these methods.
- Do Nothing - start from scratch and build your calendar as you go
- Manual - enter each calendar item you wish to keep into the new system
- Export/Import - transfer an entire calendar

If you choose this method, you are already done! Great work! |

If you have only a few appointments you wish to keep, you can write them down or print them out, then enter them into the new system.
