UVU GroupWise Spam Folder How-To 
 
     
Step 1. Create a folder called Spam
  1. Open GroupWise and Right-Click on the Cabinet
  2. Click "New Folder" on the pop-up menu
  3. Select "Personal folder", and click "Next"
  4. Type the folder name "Spam", and click "Next"
  5. Click "Finish"

Step 2. Create a rule for items placed in the Spam folder (forward & delete)
  1. Open GroupWise, click "Tools", then select "Rules"
  2. Click "New"
  3. Type the rule name "Forward spam"
  4. Change the selected item under "When event is" to "Filed Item", then click the folder browse icon to the far right.
  5. Open the "Cabinet" and select the "Spam" folder, then click "OK"
  6. Under "Item types", mark the checkbox next to "Mail"
  7. Under "Then actions are" click "Add Action", then choose "Forward"
  8. In the "To" field, type "Spam, Report", then click "OK"
  9. Under "Then actions are" click "Add Action", then choose "Delete/Decline"
  10. Click "OK"
  11. Under "Then actions are" click "Add Action", then choose "Empty Item"
  12. Click "Save"

Step 3. Create a rule to delete Spam's auto-reply
  1. Open GroupWise, click "Tools", then select "Rules"
  2. Click "New"
  3. Type the rule name "Delete Spam's Auto-Replies"
  4. Under "Item types", mark the checkbox next to "Mail", then click "Define Conditions"
  5. In the left dropdown box, select "Subject" and type "(spam received)" in the text box
  6. Click "OK"
  7. Under "Then actions are", click "Add Action", then choose "Delete/Decline"
  8. Click "OK"
  9. Under "Then actions are", click "Add Action", then choose "Empty Item"
  10. Click "Save"
  11. Click "Close"
